Shooter's School programs are first and foremost teaching programs, offering individual skill development and an understanding of how to use these skill swithin the framework of team concepts.

Over the years the Brian Carey Basketball experience has given thousands of players somethihng a little different than the usual summer hoops camp.

Brian Carey's Shooter's School @ NorthSport

Dates: June 26th to June 30th
Times: 9am to 3:30pm
Tuition: $350
Age Levels:

  • Varsity Level: For players who expect to play varsity basketball in the coming season.
  • JV & Freshman: For players who expect to play Freshman or JV basketball in the coming season.
  • Middle School (entering grades 5,6,7): For players who expect to play on their middle school team, and/or have played AAU/CYO (Note: Grade 5 players should have a coach's recommendation).
  • Note:Enrollment is strictly limited to 60 players, ideally at 20 players per level.

    Program Description

    The Shooter's School is an intensive offensive skills program where each player learns what it takes to be a "scorer." Players will learn the shooting techniques, the drills and the right mental approach that can help them become a more complete offensive player. The Shooter's School is dedicated to teaching the most important and fun part of every player's skill development - SHOOTING AND SCORING!

  • Competitive Station work - Highlight Station: Developing A Move
  • Shooting Stations - emphasis on a different shot every day.
  • Fast Break Skills - learning to run the floor and FINISH
  • Team Defense Stations - Stopping the scorer, help & recover, closing out.
  • The Shooter's Game - be the "designated scorer" for your team. Learn how it feels to be the "go to guy."
  • The Situation Tourney - pressure packed action in game ending situations, with the emphasis on FINISHING.
  • Controlled Scrimmage Games - being coached on the run!

    Our staff has always demonstrated a true passion for the game. They spend the day instructing, encouraging, demonstrating and helping. They try to give each player the individual attention that leads to greater confidence in competitive environments. There is no better teaching staff to be found in ANY summer basketball school

    AP Hoops - Advanced Placement Basketball @ NorthSport

    Dates: August 7th to August 11th
    Times: 9am to 3:30pm
    Tuition: $350
    Age Levels: AP Hoops is a unique program especially suited for serious players with a real passion for basketball. For boys entering grades 6 to 12 with AAU and School team experience.
    Note: Players entering 6th grade should have a note from a coach indicating they are ready for this type of program!

    AP Hoops is directed by coaches Kevin Foley and Brian Carey. Both coaches are on the floor at all times. They are assisted by an experienced, dedicated staff with expertise in the "whole-part-whole" teaching philosophy; Coaches who can explain how we're doing it and why it makes sense.
